Passport Oregon is a non-profit that has a vision to take students and their parents out of their normal day-to-day routines and into nature. We partner with schools and community groups to identify young Oregonians that lack avenues to adventures in Oregon’s outdoors. We then develop a cohort of students that travel together twice a month on various trips around Oregon. The trips include places such as Mt. Hood, the Columbia River Gorge, Silver Falls, and the Oregon Coast.
Volunteers would be assigned to one cohort, which will have a trip every 2 weeks. Trips are on Saturdays and should be expected to be a whole day event.
If you are interested in learning more about volunteering with Passport Oregon we are hosting a volunteer social that will discuss in more detail what Passport Oregon does and what being a volunteer would look like. The event is Sunday February 5th from 11am-1pm at Embassy Suites Washington Square (9000 SW Washington Square Rd, Tigard OR 97223).
Email the volunteer coordinator for Passport Oregon at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and a sample itinerary for one of our trips.
