Position Title: Foundation Relations Intern
Supervisor: Foundation Relations Specialist
Commitment: 3-4 months; June – August/September
Hours: 10 – 15 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Salary: None; Volunteer position

Basic Function:
This position will support the grant fundraising activities of CCA. Responsibilities will include heavy internet and database research on current and prospective foundation donors; help developing proposal language and documents for grant applications.

Must have at least two years of college education with an emphasis in nonprofit, writing, research, or an equivalent area of study. Must have strong research, written communication, and word processing skills. Must be able to operate semi-independently and carry out a variety of organizational tasks with limited supervision. Must be organized, efficient, and work well with a variety of staff in a casual yet professional work environment. Must be able to handle confidential information and comfortable in an environment that supports seriously ill children. Interest and experience in grant writing and nonprofits highly preferred.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, an intern will mostly be sitting. There are no lifting requirements for this internship. The noise level in the work place is moderate.
