SUMMARY
Adelante Mujeres provides holistic education and empowerment opportunities to low income Latina women and their families to ensure full participation and active leadership in the community. The Grants Coordinator reports to the Grants Manager and serves as an integral member of the Development team in support of Adelante Mujeres’ vision, values, direction and policies. The Grants Coordinator supports the fundraising efforts of the organization and will be tasked with identifying new sources of funding and writing and submitting grants proposals in collaboration with the Grants Manager. The role is designed to help position Adelante Mujeres for its next stage of growth and success.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Grants Coordinator is responsible for preparing and submitting grant proposals in coordination with the Grants Manager. There is ample opportunity for this position to research new funding opportunities and to take the lead on developing proposals. The Grants Coordinator will assist the Grants Manager in developing and tracking a strategic grants fundraising strategy and participate in the Development team’s budgeting process. As a member of the Development team, the Grants Coordinator is expected to participate in the team’s overall development and fundraising efforts.

New Proposals
• Prepare and submit government and private grant proposals and contracts
• Assist in the implementation of systems and procedures for grant tracking
• Research and prioritize grant opportunities and track all submissions
Current Grants and Contracts
• Collaborate on grant tracking procedures and follow grants checklist for awarded grants
• Create all thank you letters and provide regular updates to funding partners
• Support the tracking, review and submission of grant reports and invoices.
• Assist in training program staff on grant related responsibilities
Financials
• Provide support on tracking grants metrics
• Assist Grants Manager on annual budgeting of grant income
• Provide relevant grants documents for annual audit
Additional
• Participate as a member of the Development Team
• Develop and maintain competency in Adelante’s mission, work, and needs through regular exposure to Adelante’s activities, clients and staff
• Participate fully in all-staff and team scheduled meetings and trainings
• Support organization’s development and fundraising efforts
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS
• Committed to the mission and values of Adelante Mujeres
• Bachelor’s degree or work experience in relevant field
• Demonstrated experience with technical writing
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Bi-cultural understanding and/or background required; proficiency in Spanish preferred
• Ability to complete some work after business hours; ability to travel to off-site venues for meetings and events is required

HOURS/BENEFITS
• Salary range: $40,000-$45,500 ($19.23-21.87 per hour) depending on qualifications
• Full-time hourly position
• Benefits: health, dental and long term disability, professional development opportunities, paid holidays (12 days annually), sick days (up to 12 days annually) and vacation per year (20 days years one through five, 25 days after five years)
