Retirement Plan Analyst

Salary: $60-80k DOEThe most important things:You have real experience in working with 401(k) plans.  You could be an administrator for a large company, work for a TPA or recordkeeping firm, or for a plan advisor.You are great with people.  Whether via email, phone, or in person; you enjoy going above and beyond for clients and your fellow staffers.You are a self-starter and like to work in a small, closely-knit team. The role:This is a key role in our firm that serves as the primary contact for clients with plan administration issues or questions.  You are also the main contact for our recordkeeping and TPA business partners. In addition to helping run  client retirement plans, you will be in charge of client reporting. This will involve running and coordinating with our investment team to produce our quarterly due diligence reports.You will coordinate benchmarking of plans and vendor requests for proposals and other special projects for consulting team as needed.You’ll stay current on relevant regulatory and legislative changes that may impact plans (e.g. ERISA, DOL, IRS).If you have a solid understanding of complex retirement plans, the ability to review and understand plan documents, and are able to evaluate and recommend plan design options, we’d love to talk with you.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar program or experience5 – 7 years of experience working with retirement plans in recordkeeping, administration or as an ERISA attorneyStrong mathematical aptitude, specifically in financial reconciliation and data analysisAdvanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skillsExcellent communication skills (oral and written)Flexibility personality in adapting to scheduling and work-flow changesAbility to prioritize based on competing initiatives and meet both daily and periodic deadlinesExcellent problem recognition and resolution skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailCommitment to process improvementAbout Us:Deschutes is an established wealth management practice with over $1 billion AUM.
