The dogs and the youth are located at MacLaren Youth Correctional facility in Woodburn, Oregon and the program outreach office is located in Lake Oswego, Oregon.As the Program Director, under the direction of the Board of Directors, you would be responsible for:1. Fundraising including grant writing, donation solicitation and event management2. Oversight of day-to-day office operations3. Supervision and coordination of office staff and office volunteers4. Recruiting and retaining program volunteers5. Budget management and reporting6. Serving as a spokesperson for the programThe successful candidate would have:1. Three to five years of experience managing a non-profit organization or a small business; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred2. Proven grant writing experience resulting in grant awards3. Proven ability to generate revenue through donations4. Successful fundraising event management5. Strong organizational and volunteer management skills6. Experience working with budgets and financial reports; QuickBooks experience a plus7. Experience using MS Word and Excel, database management a plus8. Excellent communication skills both oral and written, comfortable with public speaking9. Ability to positively interact with volunteers, team members, management and the community10. Ability to listen, accept direction and successfully resolve issuesCompensation will be based on experience and may include a tiered incentive program. A background check and writing sample will be required.
