OCCYSHN Development & Implementation Associate (Research Associate)

Work Unit: This position is under the administration of the Oregon Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Needs (OCCYSHN).  OCCYSHN is Oregon’s Title V public health agency for children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN). OCCSYHN is primarily funded through a block grant from the U.S. Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB).   OCCYSHN is housed in the Institute on Development and Disabilities (IDD), within the Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University.   OCCYSHN’s mission is to improve the health, development, and well-being of all Oregon’s CYSHCN. Functions/Duties of Position: The duties of this position are to support of the mission, goals and objectives of OHSU, IDD and OCCYSHN as well as MCHB Title V public health goals and objectives.   The position operates primarily at the policy level and has three broad areas of focus:Promote and support excellence in cross-systems care coordination for CYSHCN at the state, county, community and practice levels.Collaborate on efforts to develop and implement statewide strategies to address the Title V Block Grant priorities of Medical Home and Transition to Adult Health Care for CYSHCNSupport systems-level quality improvement planning and implementation efforts. Required Qualifications:Master’s degree with major courses in relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience.
