Your New Role:
This firm is passionate about representing plaintiffs who have been on the wrong end of medical malpractice, workplace injuries, and accidents. As their new Legal Assistant, you’ll support a dynamic partner and a self-sufficient associate. Their cases are split primarily between auto accidents, medical negligence, and third-party accidents and they go to trial roughly 3 times per year. You’ll help them tremendously by collecting and organizing medical records, preparing expense reports, drafting pleadings from templates, and communicating with clients and experts. The partner you’ll support is invested in your long-term success, and will call regular meetings to discuss your priorities, giving you plenty of autonomy to check items off your agenda. There is a hybrid streak to this role, with a few paralegal tasks to keep you busy and learning, and some room for growth if you’re an early-career Legal Assistant. Your ability to work proactively and think 1-2 steps ahead is exactly the type of disposition that will help you secure your spot here!
Your New Organization:
A midsized plaintiff personal injury firm with a modern workplace culture and a light-filled open office is where you’ll land to start the next stage of your career. They employ close to 20 people who are very passionate about plaintiff’s work and excited to welcome you to the fold. They have a real team attitude and the kind of great camaraderie where you’ll come to know and appreciate everyone for the value they offer. This lively group of colleagues loves embracing healthy living whether it’s local races, going to the yoga studio across the street, or lunching nearby. You’ll get to enjoy a gym and shower facility in the building, and several annual opportunities for performance bonuses. Exceptional benefits await – these include paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) profit sharing, flexible scheduling, and a transportation stipend.
