Feast Portland is the most well-regarded large-scale food and drink
festival in the Pacific Northwest, and this position is an exciting intersection
of Marketing and Event skill sets. We are looking for a strategic marketer who
is also a critical thinker. This person will bring strong marketing ideas and
execution, with events experience as well, allowing them to manage events that
have marketing and public relations functions. The position will be an integral
part of the Feast Marketing Team and work with multiple departments and team
members to set strategy, implement actions, complete all deliverables and track
results with tangible metrics. This position requires excellent leadership and
interpersonal skills, project management expertise, planning, execution, and
reporting skills, knowledge of the food and beverage industries, strong
computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Dropbox), the ability to
work with multiple software programs (FileMaker Pro, project management systems)
and in-depth knowledge and best practices for all social media platforms,
tracking and measurement.PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage all needs for the following events that have Marketing/PR functions: Hospitality Lounge, Media Breakfast and Launch Party.With the Management Team and as
part of the Marketing Team, manage all marketing initiatives and implement
strategies as well as other special projects and event initiatives as assigned.Work with Festival Coordinator on
the development and timely upkeep of marketing calendars.Liaise with Sponsorship Team on a
regular basis to inform sponsor marketing deliverables and campaigns within
sponsor agreements.Brainstorm yearly marketing plans
for the festival and work with Marketing Team to set seasonal goals and
objectives.Work with Marketing Team to set
strategy and plan for email newsletter and social media content schedules and
in developing and executing all media partnerships; oversee internal and
external partnership deliverables.With the
Management Team, liaise with the festival’s
public relations and creative agencies to understand messaging objectives and
implement and manage deliverables for the overall festival marketing plan. Be
able to speak the language of our creative counterparts (i.e.
familiarity/working knowledge of creative software programs like Adobe and
sponsor and media partner digital initiatives including giveaways and work with
team to streamline efforts within larger marketing plan.Project manage
deliverables for festival website update each year in preparation for ticket
launch.Project manage
deliverables for festival recap and coordinate post-festival work including
consumer and participant surveys.Work
with Marketing Team and Sponsorship Team to ensure all department photo needs
are met. Create detailed shot lists and schedules for photographers and videographers
during the festival.Manage
and track marketing expenses in yearly budget with oversight from the Management
Team.Assist with marketing functions of
any Team Feast consulting work.NECESSARY SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:The position requires a minimum of 4-5 years in positions
with a complex set of deliverables, multiple supervisors and team members, and
cross functional, interdisciplinary work. Knowledge of the food and beverage
industry is essential. Event sponsorship and event marketing experience
required. Demonstrated project management of complex projects with measurable
results. Also must have proven communication skills (both written and verbal)
and the skills to plan, conduct and facilitate public and industry events. The
person should have a college degree or equivalent. Must be able to lift up to
30 lbs. OTHER DETAILS:Salary and benefits: This position is a full-time salary
position with occasional evening and weekend hours.
