EXECUTIVE DIRECTORBEND, ORThe Boys & Girls Club of Bend (BGC Bend) www.bgcbend.org is currently seeking an Executive Director to lead their organization.  The Executive Director is responsible for managing the operation of the Club in support of the organizational mission and goals, and provides direction to staff in carrying out the key roles assigned to them. The Executive Director collaborates with the Board of Directors in strategic planning, developing organizational goals, attaining/allocating resources, and establishing policies and priorities.Check out our thriving community if you are not already living in Central Oregon and interested in learning more about Bend, OR.EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Represent and promote the Boys & Girls Clubs as a transformational leader in the local community and develop positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develop, maintain, and model collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.Direct and manage the financial resources of the organization.Oversee the hiring, training, development and supervision of leadership staff.Develop, manage, and monitor the operating budget.Direct strategic planning efforts and develop the annual operating plan.Develop and direct high quality relationship-based member engagement strategies.Model relationship-building skills in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.Ensure the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.EVALUATIONThe Executive Director will establish, with the concurrence of the Board of Directors, specific semi-annual performance objectives and expected outcomes in accordance with the above expectations and details of the job description.  These objectives are dynamic and will be revised from time to time to the mutual agreement of the Executive Director and Board of Directors.EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.A minimum of three years experience in managing programs or operations in a non-profit agency or Boys & Girls Club; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Thorough knowledge of: the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; the principles and practices of managing non-profit organizations; and resource development activities and sources of funding.Demonstrated ability to plan and implement effective operations.Leadership skills, including negotiation, problem solving, decision-making, and strong interpersonal skills.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Strong financial skills, including experience with budget setting and management, and with bookkeeping and accounting.An ability to distill complex financial information into relevant reports and actionable recommendations for the Board of Directors.Basic knowledge of asset management including financial resources and property.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Board of Directors, staff, community groups, and other related agencies.EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR PERKS AND BENEFITS:10 days paid vacation, 10 paid holidays, 4 personal days and 12 sick days allotted per yearEmployer paid medical, dental and vision insuranceShort-term disability, life insurance and 401k employer matchJob #345092DISCLAIMER:The information presented indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the Executive Director.  It is not designed to contain, or to be interpreted as, a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, qualifications and objectives required of the employee hired for this position.
