Executive Assistant to Executive Director

Your Role:Your role will serve as the backbone of the organization and help increase access to opportunities for underserved kids! You will support and enable the leadership team to be efficient and effective by providing a wide range of operational support.  You will be involved in the daily operations of the organization – utilizing exceptional customer service skills as well as experience with administration, communication, and internal/external relationships to focus the team. As someone motivated by results and impact, you will get the opportunity to shape our community outreach to student athletes and nonprofit organizations.  As someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, you will be directly involved in processes and systems that enable athletic participation in our communities.  Through your strong emotional intelligence and steady manner, you will be an integral part of a team to change opportunities and shape possibilities for youth in underserved and underrepresented communities.    Responsibilities: •    Serving as Executive Assistant for ED by providing assistance in scheduling, calendar management and office management (including maintaining the virtual storage solution).•    Drafting communications (email, press releases, blogs, social media posts, posters, etc.) and executing social media/web-site updates.•    Serving as the MAF’s initial point of contact, responding to multiple inquiries related to MAF from external partners as well as MAC partners. Elevating issues to ED, as appropriate.•    Providing Board and Committee support including coordinating meeting times, managing agenda, creating and providing meeting materials, drafting minutes, providing logistical support and executing meeting follow up.•    Serving as Project Manager for ad-hoc projects, as assigned by ED.•    Providing event management for programmatic and fundraising events.•    Being an ambassador and spokesperson in branded communication and when representing the Foundation or ED in meetings and community events.•    Delivering operational analyses and budget support, as assigned.Qualifications•    Post-secondary degree or equivalent life-learning experience required;•    Passionate and unwavering belief in the Foundation’s mission to change lives through youth athletics;•    Exceptional, proactive customer-service orientation; strong desire to contribute to overall success and results of office and community engagement; •    Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and website tools experience preferred; high comfort level with technology necessary;•    Exceptional project management skills ; strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail required;•    Strong communication skills vital; must be a strong writer and editor, as well as a clear and concise verbal communicator;•    Proven ability to be mature and discrete, maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information;•    Ability to gracefully manage multiple tasks and projects under critical deadlines;•    Ability to be flexible and agile in a fast-paced work environment;•    Budgeting and/or marketing/communications experience a plus•    Roles typically require the ability to be stationary for extended periods of time, to travel to meetings outside of the office, to lift more than 10 pounds on occasion, and may require the ability to climb stairs. Salaried: $35,000, Approx. 30 hours a week ($25 an hour)Benefits:6 paid holidays annually4 paid community volunteer hours annually (your choice of nonprofit organization) Monthly stipend for health insuranceParking providedClosing Date:  May1, 2019
