Your New Role:
We’ve partnered with a local creative agency to find their new Director of Human Resources – someone with solid industry experience and strong knowledge of local and federal laws. A seat at this table comes with major influencer potential! You’ll be part of the senior leadership team and tasked to drive people strategies and advise on a variety of HR topics. The scope of this role is pretty robust – you’ll provide day-to-day guidance on career development and disciplinary actions and ensure all work is in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations. You’ll also advise on business unit restructures, workforce and succession planning, and important workplace matters like improving work relationships, building morale, and increasing productivity and retention. New employee orientation will be an integral part of your to-do list as well as closely monitoring benefits and payroll to ensure everything is completed accurately and seamlessly. Consistent communication will be your key to driving successful outcomes in this fluid environment.
Your New Organization:
This team is full of smart, savvy, straight shooters – just the kind of crew you can work hard and play hard with. There’s always a little bit of chaos in this creative environment, so you’ll need to be able to vibe well with everyone and take everything as it comes. Talent leads the pack here, and hard work is definitely rewarded. Their restored office space is close to all the things you love about downtown Portland: food carts, bookstores, and coffee shops. Every so often you’ll get to pop on your party clothes for one of their fun company soirees or events. They’ve also got some pretty awesome benefits to boot! These include paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plus match, and a flexible schedule.
