Development Coordinator

The Sunshine Division is a local non profit organization that has been providing no-cost emergency food and clothing to local families in crisis for over 95 years.  We are hiring a  Development Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing logistics for all Sunshine Division operated fundraising events, social media support, and development & fundraising duties such as working with third party fundraisers and employee giving campaigns.  This staff member will also provide administrative support to development team assisting with invoicing, reconciliation, and donor database input and management.  The position will report directly to the Executive Director and the Director Marketing, Communications, & Events.  This is a full-time position that averages 40 hours per week with a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional night or weekend events.  Benefits offered by the Sunshine Division include fully funded employer health and dental Insurance, PTO, retirement match, and life life insurance.  Job Title: Development CoordinatorReports to: Executive Director and Director Marketing, Communications, & EventsFLSA Status: Hourly: Non-ExemptSchedule: 40 hours/Week: varied schedule to meet demands of the position; nights and weekends expected as neededResponsibilities:·         Solicit and cultivate fundraising opportunities at outreach events and corporate and workplace giving tabling events·         Create awareness and build client base at community tabling and outreach events such as school nights, festivals, etc.·         Manage Greater Giving input and payment processes for Sunshine Division fundraising events·         Work with Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate Sunshine fundraising event volunteer needs·         Provide on-site set up and orientation for all events including Sunshine Division signature fundraising events, 3rd party events and outreach events.·         Provide high-level logistics management and administrative support for signature events such as: SHINE!, Sunshine Golf Tournament, and Merry & Bright·         Support development team and outside consultants with Winter Wonderland special night logistics, as needed·         Solicit event sponsorships, manage sponsor benefits and relationships as applicable·         Work with corporate supporters on public food-raising and register fundraising initiatives·         Provide event and fundraising opportunity updates on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram·         Manage application process and campaign logistics for several workplace giving campaigns·         Create and administer public presentations for potential donors (corporate and/or individual) regarding Sunshine Division programs and vehicles to support the organization·         Other fundraising support and duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESN/AREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent administrative skillsRequires flexible schedule: nights and weekends are required as needed and increased seasonally in November and December (No vacation time or time off will be approved in December) A minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in special events, and/or fundraisingSelf-motivated, results-oriented, creative, and organizedExperience in anticipating needs and problems, then developing creative solutionsAbility to speak to small public groups regarding the organization’s history, services, and current needsProductive personal time management and ability to prioritize projectsProven ability to manage several projects simultaneously with attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, preference to those with experience with Greater Giving and/or Donor Perfect experience.Mission-oriented and committed to program’s goalsExcellent interpersonal skills, including a sense of humor and ability to work under pressureBachelor’s degree required, with a stable work history Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving recordAbility to carry up to 40 pounds and regularly climb stairsMust pass criminal background check and drug testValid driver’s
