SUMMARY: The Administrator of Health Services and Resources leads in facilitating a broad holistic program of services for Sisters living independently, in small communities or in care facilities on the East and West Coast of the United States and in Windsor, Ontario. The person in this role works with the Province Leadership Team (PLT) in selecting and contracting with health care facilities, and works to enable Sisters to continue ministry among those with whom they live and work.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Assesses and evaluates the current state and ongoing needs of Health and Well-Being (HWB) operations in each region with the goal of establishing a vision of care into the future.2. Works closely with the PLT and the HWB staff to address the health needs of the sisters through a network of external health services.3. Provides leadership and management of department staff at the administrative office and at off-site locations.4. Encourages innovation and creativity in HWB programs and service delivery.5. Develops and manages care policies and procedures for decision-making based on Province priorities and evolving realities.6. Gathers information for and develops Province-wide program (including housing, services and resources) for Sisters requiring HWB assistance. 7. Provides health and well-being education and support for Sisters’ roles, responsibilities, and relationships with one another throughout their life span.8. Oversees health data management systems, budget development and use of government programs.9. Participates in hiring Health and Well-Being personnel and oversees their supervision.10. Establishes and maintains effective professional relationship with leadership at health care facilities where Sisters reside.11. Collaborates with Province department directors/managers and administrative staff.12. Keeps current regarding trends and best practices in health care delivery and public and community programs. 13. Plans an annual HWB program conference.14. Fulfills other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field required; Master’s degree in healthcare, or equivalent experience, preferred.• Licensed RN or Medical Social Worker.• Minimum of five years’ experience in senior leadership in an eldercare facility or system.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:1. Understanding of change management and ability to lead and manage change positively and enthusiastically.7. Willingness to learn about religious life and the SNJM culture.8. Ability to respond to urgent and/or stressful situations appropriately and calmly.9. Sensitivity to the needs of the aging and women’s health issues.10. Understanding of complex issues surrounding medical insurance and benefit coordination. 11. Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.12. Ability to travel throughout the U.S.-Ontario Province in carrying out job responsibilities (10- 20 percent of time).13. Excellent written and oral communication skills.14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools. 15. Competence in or capacity to learn current and future communication technologies (e.g. web conferencing, instant messaging, etc.)PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND/OR WORK ENVIRONMENT:Some stooping or bending when using files. Light lifting (5-10 lbs.) occasionally required. EQUIPMENT USED:Computer (PC) keyboard, mouse; office telephone/voice mail system; fax/copier, scanner, work cell phone and SNJM vehicles. HOURS: Full time. Willingness to adjust hours as need arises. Occasionally available to work evening and/or weekend hours.
