Western Rivers Conservancy, a nonprofit leader in the effort to protect our region’s waterways, is hiring a Database & Office Manager to support the organization’s growing operations. This is an opportunity to be an integral part of a passionate and effective environmental organization. The salary range for this multi-faceted position is $40,000-$48,000 annually.

About the position
The Database & Office Manager plays an essential role at Western Rivers Conservancy by ensuring that the donor database is kept ship-shape and up to date, and by developing and implementing strategies to recruit and retain donors. The Database & Office Manager coordinates and participates in all aspects of WRC’s annual appeal strategy, from managing mailings to tracking contributions to preparing fundraising reports. As the primary phone receptionist, the position is also the front-line point of contact for WRC’s donors, partners, supporters and the general public.
In addition to managing the database and annual giving program, the Database & Office Manager makes sure the office runs smoothly so that WRC can effectively accomplish its mission. He or she manages all aspects of office administration, including purchasing supplies, coordinating with IT support and other vendors, maintaining internal controls, arranging meeting logistics, and more.
Who should apply?
WRC needs a solutions-oriented professional who combines a passion for precision with the ability to adapt to ever-changing circumstances. In addition, the ideal applicant will have:
- At least five years’ relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce, preferably the Nonprofit Starter Pack.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Tact, excellent judgment and an upbeat attitude.
- Flexibility and ability to manage diverse tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to river conservation.
